Pastor Gary
Pastor Gary Taylor was appointed to Cascade United Methodist Church, Deerwood, in 2022. He received his education at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN; Wadena Technical College; and St. Paul School of Theology, Kansas City, MO. He has served Communities of Faith Larger Parish (Bertha UMC, Clarissa UMC, Clotho UMC, and Eagle Bend UMC), Peace United Church, Long Prairie MN, Grey Eagle UMC (a two-point parish), and Alexandria UMC. His appointment at Cascade UMC is in conjunction with Emily UMC, Emily, and Pine Lake Chapel, Aitkin.
He and his wife, Cheryl, have been married since 1983 and have three adult children and four grandchildren. He seeks to bring the Good News of God's unfailing love for all humanity to the people of the church and hopes to inspire others to share that Good News with their community.
